hjkl
Vim navigation in the editor
I edit notes with hjkl, jump with w and b, and never leave home row. Full Normal and Insert modes, just like Vim.
If you've used Vim, you know the feeling. Your fingers fly across the keyboard without thinking. That's what I wanted in my notes app.
The basics
h j k l- move aroundw/b- word forward / backward0/$- line start / endgg/G- document start / end
Modes
Press i to insert, a to append, o to open a new line. Press Esc to return to Normal mode. You can also configure custom escape sequences like jj or jk in settings.
Not a Vim user?
That's fine. Everything works with arrow keys and mouse too. Vim mode is optional.
